The Nature of God

Keith Sharp | Answering The Watchtower Society

The Watchtower Society denies there are three Beings who make up the one God: “The evidence is indisputable that the dogma of the Trinity is not found in the Bible, nor is it in harmony with what the Bible teaches…. It grossly misrepresents the true God” (Reasoning from the Scriptures. published by Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York, Inc., 1989 edition. 424.) The Bible teaches three divine Beings Who compose the one God. The evangelist Luke records that as Jesus was being baptized by John in the Jordan “the Holy Spirit descended in bodily form like a dove upon Him, and a voice came from heaven which said, ‘You are My beloved Son; in You I am well pleased’” (Luke 3:21-22). The Father is God (1 Corinthians 8:6), The Son is God (John 5:16-18), and the Holy Spirit is God (Acts 5:1-4). They are perfectly united as one God (John 17:20-21)
